Technical copywriter and editor
Emma had a diverse 6-year career at FirstGroup, the leading transport operator in the UK and North America. Her roles included research and copywriting, marketing for both Bus (South West & Wales) and Rail divisions, co-ordinating bid submissions for four major rail franchises, and developing and implementing the communications strategy for the acquisition of Laidlaw International. Outside the public transport industry, Emma has planned international events for major pharmaceutical and chemical companies and runs her own online marketing company promoting tourism in South West England. She also holds a diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
